Iran feature ‘Houra’ by Gholamreza Sagharchian gets into selection of 12 Months Film Festival in Romania.

The movie which already grabbed NETPAC Award at All Lights India International Film Festival will screen in the Romania-based online event.

Also produced by Sagharchian, the movie won the Best Feature award at the Adult Jury of the event’s Asian Panorama Feature section.

‘Houra’ narrates the story of a rural teenage boy, Hadi, who lives with his family in the desert margins of Tehran-Mashhad railroad line. Hadi tries to keep alive a garden, which is the only legacy of his mother’s past.

The flick has so far attended a number of international children film festivals in India, Germany, Norway, Istanbul, Canada, and South Korea.

The 12 Months Film Festival is an international online film event that attracts, displays and awards movie enthusiasts, and professionals from 6 continents, in the largest monthly qualification challenge for the Grand Prize.

The festival holds monthly events and another Iranian film ‘Long Farewell'’ directed by Farzad Motamen won Best Feature Fiction award for its November 2016 edition.

Farabi Cinema Foundation, a leading company in the field of production, international distribution and promotion of Iranian films, is responsible for the international distribution of the flick.
